I saw an estimate of average yearly software related costs of a hedge fund with about 300 mln under management:
Statistical Software Licencse Fees - $30,000
Data Feeds - $80,000
Back Office Software (accounting, CRM, etc) - $50,000
Total Comes up to about: $160,000 / year
